Ultrasonic Scaler Using high frequency vibrations, ultrasonic scalers create microscopic bubbles that implode on the tooth surface, killing microbes as well as removing the hardened bacterial buildup without any damage to the tooth enamel. Manual scaling uses more pressure while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of the ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible.
